Z's Lifestyle Cake Smash

Few things are sweeter {and messier} than those first birthday smash cakes and we LOVE them!  We get asked all the time about first birthday sessions and where to do the cake smash and how all of that works.  After all, you KNOW you don't want to clean it up!

Most of the time we do cakes smashes in studio, but I must admit, I really love taking the mess outdoors and letting the little ones loose!  There's just something about the fresh air, bright colors, and the freedom to just be.  Little Z's session was everything and more and I was thrilled to have her back behind my camera!  We love our return customers so much and getting the chance to build friendships with those we serve!

Happy Birthday Little One!

Little Miss Bella turns ONE

This little angel is the sweetest!

I had the best time planning this session with little Bella's mother and I couldn't be more pleased. They opted to do the full first year session with formal portraits and then a studio smash cake!  I love it when parents do a little bit of both during their time with me.  With sessions like these you get some keepsake "wall art" images as well as some fun memories of your little one's first taste of sugary goodness that is CAKE!

For Bella it was serious business and I'm so thrilled to have met her and her family and been a part of such an exciting time!

Haley + Nathan

They say that April showers bring May flowers...but they don't tell you about the surprise cold fronts and below freezing temperatures!

Haley and Nathan had the most beautiful wedding just outside of Oxford at the Camp Hopewell chapel with the reception at The Nest B&B.  (One of my favorite and so underrated venues in the Oxford area!)  What no one expected was the cold, or should I say FREEZE, front that came through to help them celebrate.  I can honestly say that I have never seen a bride more calm in more frustrating circumstances and these two made the most of a very cold situation and they celebrated like it was 75 degrees outside!

Thanks for having me there that day Haley & Nathan! :)

Caroline + Myers

A Memphis, TN Engagement

Almost a year ago, I met Caroline when I was out in Texas taking her brother and sister in law's wedding pictures!  It was such a beautiful day and I was able to get to know her and her (then boyfriend) Myers a little bit.  They are such a fun couple to be around and I was thoroughly excited when I got the call that they Myers had proposed and that they wanted me to capture some engagement pictures before his deployment.

As you can see they are incredibly adorable (and don't even get me started on their beautiful dog Hardy) and a breath of fresh air!  Congratulations to these two love birds and thanks so much for your service to our country!
